Yosemite Eats is a proposed mobile application that integrates mobile payment and an interactive concession directory in Yosemite National Park. It is also a refreshing and immediately useful umbrella brand integrated with Yelp and GoogleMaps functionality to create a sense of inclusion amongst Yosemite's disparate eateries.
Role: As an independent Design Strategist with a Los Angeles product innovation firm, Jackie conceived of the app as a solution to the traffic flow issue that the competition literature highlighted as a major problem to be resolved by the winning bid proposal. As a new operations management system working in tandem with the updated landscape architecture and interiors, Yosemite Eats eliminates pedestrian lines some or all of the day at most Valley sites and reduces vehicular traffic by eliminating a moderate amount of automobile trips between sites in Yosemite Valley.
